There are countless opinions out there about how expecting mothers should eat and it can get very overwhelming. Tackling food cravings and making nutritional choices while pregnant doesn’t need to be stressful – it’s time to talk about how we can enjoy staying nutritionally balanced while pregnant. Joining me in this episode of the pregnancy series is Lindsay Taylor. Lindsay believes in the power of food to help us live our best life, and that no one is more deserving of feeling good than mothers and mothers-to-be. With a Master’s degree in Public Health, certification as a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, and an Honours certification as a Culinary Nutrition Expert, Lindsay transforms an academic background in nutritional science into real-food, real-world, and practical solutions to help modern moms feel supported, nourished, and energised as they embrace the challenges and joys of new motherhood. Lindsay talks about her journey to becoming the food doula, how key nutrients change with pregnancy, ways to incorporate specific nutrients into your diet, reframing your perspective on food cravings, how to navigate tastes throughout pregnancy, and why context is needed to determine what’s best for each woman’s pregnancy experience.
