Movement and exercise is a critical part of our health, however there may be changes to our exercise routine that we need to make when we become pregnant. It can also be stressful wondering, am I moving my body too much? Or not enough? What’s safe and not safe movement? Who better to join me to answer these questions other than “The Mama Physio” – Jess Jenkins! Jess works as a pilates educator and her special interest is anything pre or post natal and female pelvic pain. There were multiple Aha moments throughout this episode and I can’t wait for you to hear Jess’ advice when it comes to how we can optimally exercise while pregnant. Jess talks about how she became known as “The Mama Phsyio and gives all the answers to common questions about exercise while being pregnant. She shares her personal experience, what she has seen in women she works with, the ideal movements for each trimester, what movements we should be cautious of, and why it’s important to not put pressure on ourselves.

Jess is a Women’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and Pilates Course Educator with over 10 years of experience working with women across the lifespan in both the UK and Australia. Jess is passionate about making pelvic and women’s health accessible to all women. This is the driving force behind her social media and online workout app, MOVE. Jess is also currently 37 weeks pregnant and excited to embark on her own motherhood journey very soon!
