While most women know that home birth is an option, the preparation that goes into it is rarely discussed. In order to create a sacred, supportive, comfortable, and magical home birth experience, there needs to be some planning in place.
In this episode of the pregnancy series, I am joined by Michelle Palasia, to chat all about how to prepare for a home birth. Michelle has worked in the birth space for years as a birth photographer, doula, and now a birth keeper. She is passionate about empowering women in the sacred space of birth and because of the wide variety of births she has supported, her perspective is fascinating and invaluable for all women to hear.
Throughout our conversation, Michelle talks about her personal journey to working in the birth space, what the difference is between a free birth and home birth, how couples can navigate birth preparation together and address conflict, her recommendations for birth prep, tips to adapt the physical environment for the best home birthing experience, and more ways to ensure a supported, magical home birth.
