This week Wellsome meets a local fellow health passionate who’s based not too far from Wellsome HQ. Katherine from KBSugarFree is passionate for leading a healthy and nourishing lifestyle! Currently studying occupational therapy her side project, her blog, KBSugarfree is all about sharing healthy alternatives to ensure that wellness and healthy living is easily achieved without feeling like you are ‘missing out’.
KBSugar Free reviews local cafes, restaurants and events and share them on the blog so that fellow local foodies/healthspos know what amazing options are available and supportive for their health and wellness journey! The blog also shares healthy recipes that can easily replace old, unhealthy habits and brilliant ingredients/products that support a wholesome, realistic and long lived health journey.

How did your passion for health, nutrition and yummy food come about?
I attended college in the first two years of my University degree and after the first year had to come to terms with the negative effects that my chosen lifestyle had caused for my body. I had tried calorie counting and was continuously failing so my friend ‘borrowed’ her mums I Quit Sugar book by Sarah Wilson to let me read it – and I have never looked back!
.What is the health message your sharing with others?
To lead a wholesome, balanced and happy lifestyle! I think that long term health requires education, moderation and most definitely not restriction, so I am trying to share the vast amount of healthy opportunities that surround Brisbane, Australian and even international followers!

What are your 3 must have essential kitchen must have’s?
Most definitely…
1. Nuts (of any kind)
2. Greens (of any kind)
3. My slow cooker!
Magical things can be created with my slow cooker and a random selection of ingredients and greens accompany every single meal of the day and nuts well, they are just delicious and the perfect sugar free snack!
